3/1/2010 Antipasto

Last Friday I read an article in the newspaper about making an antipasto platter. It intrigued me, especially because our little family has made a version of antipasto for Christmas Eve dinner several times without even knowing it! So last night I served antipasto and I think it was a success. Wesley quite enjoyed the whole "Now what will I pick??" element of it. I liked trying different kinds of olives. We served it with toasted slices of those long, skinny loaves of french bread from the bakery section of the grocery. On some of the slices I sprinkled oil and balsamic vinegar. Yum!

(and don't you love the vinyl, flowered tablecloth paired with our fine china?)
